    IT COMES IN WAVES, aka Jessica Smith, is a newly formed Alternative//Blues//Acoustic//Whatever you want to call it Artist from Peterborough. Jessica’s dark melancholic lyrics are combined with ominous raw vocals and acoustic guitar.

    MARIA MARR is a singer-songwriter and graduate of The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London. She embraced music at a very young age by playing the violin, piano and singing, she has written music in different styles,   including Dance, Electronic and Pop. Her latest single ‘What I missed in class’ truly defines her music styles, having been chosen as ‘Pick of the Uploader’ by BBC Introducing Cambridgeshire shortly after its release.

    CTRL-C are an alternative 5 piece rock and covers band with total age of 144 and a combined height of exactly 30ft. Looking for a likeminded audience to bring to the indie disco and show a real good time. Classically handsome.

    SCUMBUS are a DIY Punk Rock band formed in Peterborough, using catchy riffs and a desire to have as much fun as physically possible. Taking influences from the 90’s and 00’s Punk scene whilst adding in some of the original 70’s punk music.

    Following last year’s successful gig, TANTRIS are back. A Blues Rock band from Ely Cambridgeshire, however the music they play ranges from Rockabilly and Rock and Roll to Indie, Mod and Punk covers to their own Indie Rock covers. The line-up consists of: TRISTAN HALL, Guitar and vocals, RICHARD MATTHEWS, Bass Guitar, JOSH GREENE, Drums and backing vocals. The three semi -professional musicians formed the band in September 2015 and given their previous experience hit the road straight away and have been performing at various venues from Leicestershire down through Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk.
  • Lisa Dickinson’s Dance Mania

    Established by Lisa Dickinson in March almost two decades ago, Dance Mania is one of the biggest dance schools in East Anglia. A community-spirited school, they cover all styles of dance and welcome people of all ages and abilities, both male and female. In addition to regular shows, they perform at many local charity events and have been regulars at our festival since 2002.   • The Casey Academy Of Irish Dancing

    The Casey Academy is run by sister world champions Jenna and Siobhan Casey. They run classes throughout Cambridgeshire including March and Peterborough taking part in lots of events including competitions. They have had great success since opening the classes in June 2015 and have high hopes for the future.

    Following the success of opening for Status Quo, The Darkness, Black Stone Cherry, Slade, Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake), Eric Martin (Mr Big), Graham Bonnet (Rainbow); WALKWAY’S distinct vocals, jaw dropping solos and solid rhythm section have created a huge buzz and gained the band the reputation as one of the UK’s best unsigned rock bands.     Cavalry Concert Band meets every Tuesday after school led by Cavalry’s very own BFG Mr Steward. It is made up of pupils from Years 4-6 who are learning to play a woodwind or brass instrument. Many staff, inspired by the dedicated and promising young pupils, have either dusted off childhood instruments or had lessons alongside the children to reach the very high standard you will hear. The band play at all the schools special occasions including the annual Nine Lessons and Carols service, Presentation Events and The Last Night of the Proms style concert in the Summer Term. Most of all the pupils love it when ex-pupils or ‘friends of Cavalry’ come back to play alongside them; adding that extra bit of sparkle to this very young band.

    The PALMERSTON UKULELE BAND (P.U.B. for short) are an eclectic mix of music and performers attracting a huge range of audiences at a wide variety of venues from the Peterborough Beer Festival to fetes & Charity events. In fact anywhere that people like to gather to have a jolly good time! They make it their business to share Ukulele love, joy and happiness wherever they go by putting their spin on popular sing-along, foot stomping tunes from the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s; Johnny Cash and The Beatles to The Kinks, Neil Diamond, Tom Jones, The Undertones, and many, many more.     March based PHIL HARE is a nationally renowned guitarist and performer who made his name as a solo artist on the British folk scene. DON MAY is a peerless violinist with a celebrated career in both classical and jazz music. They met in the North-West of England many years back and decided to play Celtic music with a hint of jazz and swing! Here they are re-united to lift your spirits and get your feet tapping.

    It’s PARTY TIME! LATINO SOUND are a 4 – 6 piece Latin band based in Peterborough. They play a mix of latin fusion - latin jazz - latin party - latin funk. The band consists of MOISES SANCHEZ - VALENTINO PARLATO - JOHN COUPLAND - ORLANDO SANCHEZ

    WINTER WILSON have just completed a 28 show tour with Fairport Convention. Having honed their craft during many years as semi-professional musicians, the duo went full time in 2012 and haven’t looked back since. They have a fine repertoire of self-penned songs, telling stories of everyday life which often reflect the bigger picture of this life we lead. (“Songs for local heroes,” as one punter said.) KIP WINTER (vocals, accordion, guitar, flute) is one of the finest singers on the circuit, expressing power and emotion in equal measure “from melting to belting”. DAVE WILSON (vocals, guitar and banjo) is amongst the top tier of British song writers, with his songs covered by some of folk’s “greats”. But it’s in live performance that WINTER WILSON really excel, bringing a sense of intimacy to every stage, welcoming audiences into their world, mixing songs with stories of life on the road. “This isn’t a performance – it’s a domestic!” Tight harmonies, killer songs and a lot of fun – that’s Winter Wilson.

    FRED’S HOUSE are an award winning band based in Cambridge. They make summery, 70’s West Coast inspired folk/rock but have their own distinctively fresh sound that is very much part of now. This group of musicians have the rare ability to sweep you away with their gorgeous three part harmonies, moving lyrics, infectious melodies and uplifting grooves. Among their many influences are bands such as Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, The Swell Season and C.S.N.Y. They formed in the home studio at Fred Cox’s house in 2010 and have created quite a stir on the live circuit gaining a following wherever they go, their fans or ‘Housemates’ claim their music is addictive and come to show after show. They have won many awards’ the latest being the prestigious ‘Syd Barrett Pride of Cambridge Award’ in 2017. A brilliant way to close the Festival!
